Job Purpose

  • Responsible for managing the organization's procurement process for required materials, equipment, services, and products, ensuring compliance with applicable procurement policies and procedures, and ensuring procurement is completed at the best cost, quality, and on-time delivery. 
  • This will include strategic elements such as sourcing strategy identification, spending analysis, and strategic partnerships, as well as tactical elements such as contract management, contract negotiation and finalization

Responsibilities and job role


1. Preparing an annual procurement plan in coordination with the various departments to meet the requirements of the Qatar Stars League for products, services and equipment throughout the year, and setting the necessary procedures and forms to achieve this end.


2. Providing advice to the requesting department on the new policies and procedures in force related to procurement, new trends in the market and new suppliers.


3. Ensure that the requesting department completes the supporting documents required for the purchase of materials, products, equipment and services


4. Review the quotations, proposals and recommendations received to ensure the best choice among the alternatives


5. Review and compile the required documents so that appropriate contracts can be submitted for drafting


6. Reviewing and updating the list of approved suppliers with new supplier information to expand the supplier database in the Qatar Stars League.


7. Ensure that the services provided by suppliers comply with the terms of the contract


8. Ensure that purchase orders adhere to the agreed upon delivery deadline


9. Coordinating and facilitating the processing of supplier payments with the Finance department and providing complete documentation


10. Updating the purchases database with the prices and specifications of the purchased products and services


11. Conducting annual evaluation of suppliers in coordination with the requesting department

Qualifications & Experience


  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any related degree.

Knowledge and experience:

  • 5 years relevant experience in purchasing management.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
  • Advanced skills in MS office
