Job Purpose

Responsibilities and job role

Key Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain and further develop the new centralized application, with a strong focus on backend processes
• Manage and improve the overall data ecosystem and workflows
• Build, enhance, and maintain reports and dashboards for multiple departments
• Act as the main liaison between QSL and the local staff of the data provider
• Ensure smooth data treatment, integration, and delivery for high‑volume data analysis
• Automate processes to improve efficiency in data handling and reporting

Operational Responsibilities

• Manage workflows related to data treatment and API integration with the centralized application
• Maintain data accuracy and timely updates with data partners
• Support live match recording video workflows for analysis purposes
• Process and analyze player performance and football-related data

 

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications:

• Holds a bachelor's degree in one of the following: (Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics / Applied Mathematics, Data Engineering or related quantitative field)

 

Knowledge and experience:

• Strong proficiency in Python (backend development and automation)
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for reporting and dashboard development
• Solid backend development experience
• Experience with API integration and data workflows
• Cloud computing experience is required
• GCP experience is highly preferred
• Experience in data modeling, preferably within a sports or football data environment
• Demonstrative experience of working to deadlines
• Prior experience in football or sports data analytics is a strong advantage
